Jess gets home last nite twisted or turned her ankle at school (she went to sick bay they put ice pack on it told her would be okay ) anyway she goes up the street with some friends and spends a few hours walking around (obviously ankle not too bad) gets into the car in tears saying her ankle hurts.
Get home to have a look at it, and it now looks like a small balloon has been inserted into the ankle, its too late to head into hospital, Glen has just finishing up from work, and I am still feeling like shit..
So we get her comfortable elevate the leg and put an ice pack on it, and feed her panadol. We'll take her to the doctors in the morning. After having a delicious brekky of bacon and eggs ( I obvisiouly felt a little better, but really needing something fattening) we head up to this place called Eureka medical centre. Its a huge place where they have doctors, dentists, physio, chemist and they bulk bill.
Unfortunately you can wait for hours to see a doctor, cos there are no appointments just walk in and hand your medicare card details and sit and wait, and wait and wait....................................
I think we were there for at least three hours, Glen took Jess in I have had enough of doctors, he reckons she has some 'pothole hyper extension' ???she did fall or step into a hole in the school ground.
Anyway went of and had it xrayed ( thats the other good thing about this centre) then had to wait again to see the doctor. It didnt look like there was any damage, but he wants to do an ultrasound and couldnt do there today but in two weeks time we could come back. But he told us to go to ballarat radiology in St John of god hospital, and they could do it, but then we have to come back and see him once thats done.
Oh whilst waiting for Jess to see the doctor I went downstairs to the chemist to see if I could get better cold and flu tablets, which I did and some soothers for my throat. Took them immediatley at least it took the bloody throbbing headache away.
So we head off to the hospital to get ultrasound, jess wanted to go home so did I but at least get it done out the way and enjoy the remainder of saturday ( it was now after 2pm). Pay the machine $2 to park cos no parking available in street. Wander through the corridors of hospital till we find ( it was very quiet) the radiology area. HUH! its shut ( no wonder it was quiet) hours are Mon- Fri 9-5 ( of course who would want to have an ultrasound on a weekend) So now we have to wait till monday.
Got home strap jess's ankle feed panadol and now have to wait till monday. I have to go back and see my doctor (high blood pressure) but also get jess to have an ultrasound and back to see that doctor all on monday.

Once the ceremony finished we went outside and surrounded the funeral car, we had been given red balloons which on the count of three were released into the sky.
The funeral procession then headed to the Ballarat New Cemetary, childrens area where there was a graveside service ( no cremation) where we heard Green Days - time of your life and the theme to Richmond Football Club. Millies favourite team. We were given more balloons this time black and yellow ones Yay for her football team.
The coffin was the deepest pink you could ever imagine, with big love hearts on each side and 'We will love you to the stars and back' written followed by a couple of stars.
On Sunday Richmond are playing Nth Melbourne, no 7 of Richmond Nathan Brown will be the only member of the tigers to be wearing a black armband.
This afternoon Millie was to head to Melbourne to meet Nathan......
This girl is an ispiration to all her new her, her parents should be so proud of every thing Millie achieved in her short but exilerating life. Just take a moment to reflect when you think things are not going your way or you think its too hard what this little girl has gone through would astound you......
I have met so many children and there have been those who leave a mark or impact in my life. They make you realise how lucky you are and for what you have.
Millie you are one of those few I will never forget you, you came into my life I am so proud and priveliged to have met you and will always remember you.
